Program Description

Event Details

TMMSN Rehabilitation and Research Center Educational Tour includes a presentation on marine mammals and a guided tour, marine mammal bones viewing and discussion, and a mock dolphin rescue exercise. There will be an activity following the tour and presentation.

Pre-registration is required and limited. Program is recommended for ages 6-12 and their families. Registration must be completed for each person going on the tour. Please call us @ 409.763.8854 x135 for any questions you might have.

The Activity Tour is inside our Rehabilitation and Research Center - a large area that is not temperature controlled (no A/C), but it is fully shaded with good airflow through the building. We suggest guests dress comfortably for weather conditions, wear close-toed shoes, or shoes that securely strap to the foot, with good traction (the center floors can be slippery so flip flops/crocs are discouraged), and bring water if needed. No food or drink, other than water, is allowed due to sanitary issues.

Due to federal requirements there will be no live dolphin viewing. If animals come into the rehabilitation at the time of our program they may cancel or relocate our program.
